Kathi Cushman began her employment adventures in the arts and took a few side-turns, including time spent as a museum tourguide, a freelance camera operator and a copywriter. She fell into the world of graphic design in 1990 and immediately experienced true career bliss. As Gryphon's creative partner, she's been immersed in Web design since 1995. Before Gryphon she spent 10 years at Hewlett Packard, where she first became interested in Web design and communications.

Kathi has won numerous awards for graphic design. She continues to study digital media and create digital art. Her new venture, Pretty, Shiny Things, will feature unique narrative and precious metal jewlery, and digital art and collage.

Jose Bautista became interested in Web communications and programming after he began to use online technologies in the course of his research as an experimental psychologist. As Gryphon's technology specialist, he finds that he continues to draw on his background in research and statistics in his work with visitor experience and creative programming solutions.

The recipient of several academic awards, Jose has been recognized for his work mentoring minority students.

Not content to eat, breath and sleep code, Jose keeps one foot in the academic world and is on the faculty at San Jose State University and West Valley College.
